What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energetic healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words:
"Rei" (霊) meaning "universal" or "spiritual wisdom"
"Ki" (気) meaning "life energy" (similar to "chi/qi" in Chinese or "prana" in Indian traditions)
Reiki practitioners use touch to channel healing energy into a person’s body, aiming to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This can be felt as heat, tingling vibrations or a total release of tension by the person receiving Reiki.

What is Emotion Coding?
The"Emotion Code" is a healing technique developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson based on the idea that trapped emotions—unprocessed emotional energies from past experiences, either during this lifetime or passed down through generations within one’s family—can create imbalances in the body, leading to physical discomfort, emotional struggles, and limiting beliefs.
Potential Benefits:
Emotional release and improved mental health
Reduction in physical pain
Better relationships and self-awareness
Increased energy and emotional resilience

What does an initial appointment entail?
During the appointment, the first 45 minutes are dedicated to gathering information and listening to the client. This includes discussing physical and emotional symptoms, medical history, and foundational health aspects such as sleep quality, dietary habits, water intake, and exercise frequency.
The next 30 minutes focus on Muscle Response Testing, also known as Applied Kinesiology (AK), to identify imbalances within the body’s organs, hormones, and nutritional points. Once these imbalances are detected, AK is used to pinpoint the primary imbalance or root cause of the symptoms—often, one organ system is driving the overall dysfunction.
The final 15 minutes are spent creating a personalized course of action to restore balance in the body, mind, and emotions. This may involve herbal supplements, homeopathic remedies, flower essences, breathing techniques, specific exercises, or additional therapies such as chiropractic care or sauna treatments.

What is Muscle Response Testing/Applied Kinesiology?
Muscle Response Testing (MRT), also known as Applied Kinesiology (AK) or Muscle Testing, is a diagnostic technique that assesses the body’s responses to various stimuli by utilizing its innate polarity. Since muscles react differently to positive and negative stimuli, this method helps identify imbalances affecting overall health and well-being.
A practitioner performs MRT by applying light pressure to a specific muscle, typically the arm, while the individual resists. A strong response, where the muscle resists the pressure, indicates balance or agreement, whereas a weak response, where the muscle gives way, may suggest stress, imbalance, or an underlying issue. This technique is commonly used to detect food sensitivities or allergies, identify emotional blockages or trapped emotions, assess organ, nutritional, hormonal, or system imbalances, and guide holistic healing practices such as chiropractic care, nutrition, and energy work.

Do you take insurance?
No, sadly at this time I am unable to take insurance. I am hopeful that the medical world is working towards a less divisive approach to healthcare and that this will change in the future.
